it's a goody bag!..it's a gag?..it's a TAG!

Swaram and gils have passed on the " Honest Scrap " award to me. Thank You!! Takes one to know one right ? ( honest I mean )

 The Rules to rightfully claim this award are--

1.I must thank the person who gave me the award and list their blog and link it

2.I must list 10 honest things about myself

3.I must put a copy of Honest Scrap logo on my blog

4.I must select atleast 7 8 other worthy bloggers and list their links

5.I must notify the bloggers of the award and hopefully they will follow the above three requirements also.

In other words, I cannot just claim this one and show-off . I need to list 10 things about myself. I racked my brains and decided to write a little about the blogger side of me and follow it up with general details. Let's go --

<1> I read a senior's blog out of curiosity last year ( a friend forwarded one of his short stories ). I was hooked and read all the posts. Till then, I was alien to blogs and bloggers. But out of sheer boredom, a little inspiration and restlessness to try out something new, a blog was born.

<2> I write posts in a single sitting. If I leave it mid-way, I delete it promptly as I totally lose the train of thought and cannot finish it. So usually, I write them at home.

<3> I am barely a socially 'networked' or 'active' person. I exist on FB, Orkut et al and I'm active in sudden spurts. I don't micro-blog (tweet), chat or play games. These days, I read blogs. Internet & I merely tolerate each other.

<4> I'm nervous people can track me if I visit their blogs/other accounts etc & leave without making my presence felt.. Initially only because I didn't want people to think I'm a stalker, I would leave my comment. But really, out of curiosity, to what extent can you track visitors ? I'd like to know.

<5> I sometimes change my old posts, not the main gist of it but I might include a better word, make corrections or remove a redundant sentence. I know, I'm wierd! I'm not completely satisfied with any post of mine so I keep at it. I welcome criticism (please to be little gentle with harsh ones) so if you have suggestions, lets do it together.

<6> I have this bad blog-habit of avoiding 'tags' when I know it involves too much effort from my side. I know all of them do, but there are some which are very challenging. I remember all the tags I have sidelined too but I hope the taggers don't. I'm plain lazy people, not rude I swear.

<7> My pseudo-name "lostworld" doesn't have any profound thought behind it. I had re-named my PC's C-Drive as LostWorld ( have this habit of naming folders /drives etc - C,D,E is so boring! ). When I was creating my blogger account, I didn't want to use my good name. My eyes fell on the 'C' Drive and thus I was christened.

<8> I find people without humour a pain. I don't mean that everyone I like is witty or has an extra-ordinary sense of humour, but I get along very well with people who can laugh at themselves more often than they laugh at others.

<9> I'm not particularly fond of watching movies. Every single friend and family member happens to be sorta movie-buff so I end up watching a lot of movies in theatre. If you're wondering why I go in the first place, well, I keep myself pre-occupied with snacks. I forget the plot hours after I have come out. My standard response when anyone asks me about the movie is "OK" or "Not too bad". If you go into details, I'll disappear miraculously. Unless its a movie I enjoyed or based on a book I have read. Then you don't have to ask me.

<10> I have an extremely sweet tooth - the sugary-jaggery-chocolatey kinds. I can gorge on chocolate pastry with chocolate ice-cream drowned in chocolate sauce topped with choco chips and nuts for breakfast, lunch and dinner - yes yes, all in the same day. I never say NO to chocolate.

Mission accomplished. In all honesty, this was fun ! But tagging others is always more fun.

** Shruthi - I love her 'Bengaluru bindaas' style of blogging, especially posts mixed with Kannada. I wish she would write more often.

** Shilpa Garg - Her blog is listed as one of the "Best Indian Blogs". Need I say more? -- except, famous people do read my humble blog too - oh yeah!!

** Tanushree Pillai - An honest, frank and thoughtful blogger!

** Shalini Surendran - Most of her posts are such a laughter riot, I am sure I would love this one too.

** Antarman - Straight from the heart, her posts always give me some food for thought and insight into aspects of life I never think about.

** The Double Inverted Commas - Calls a spade a spade and I like reading her forthright posts. She does tags very well too.

** Arkansas Patti - She's a master story-teller and an animal-lover. Although she's miles away, I always feel she's sitting right beside me and narrating tales.
