How easy is it to take me for a ride?

I honestly felt my previous post was quite staid. I could have written better. I blame it all on this first-time and thoroughly disgusting experience my poor brain (head) underwent only couple of days ago. Definitely the last time though.

I had a " brainwave " one sunny morning. I decided to get a head massage & dragged my friend along who dragged me to Ayur that same evening. What ensued there was far from a rejuvenating or soothing experience for either of us !!

* My hair was yanked in all directions.

* Smelly oil was poured generously all over my tresses.

* My head was beaten/slapped and it HURT. I had to scream to tell her to go easy on me.

* I paid 450 for this inhuman handling of my lustrous locks :-(((( Broke my heart to part with it for such awful treatment. I could have bought 2 big oil bottles instead and my mom could have massaged my hair 20 times for FREE !!!

If you didn't find all of this funny , there's more --

* At the end when I assumed she was going to wash my hair , she produced a 'CHIK' Men's shampoo sachet for the same !!!! $%#&!#@

* I went home with oily smelly hair and a terrible headache which disappeared only after I slept over it.

## So you now know why I'm posting sub-standard stuff ! Give my brain some time.
And do commiserate for my friend, the poor girl who also lost a lot of hair in the process.

hehehe.. lol.. thank god I have never gone there for hair massage and probably would never go! (after reading your post).. why did she put men's shampoo though? :O Did you loose that many hair in the process? :P

Looks like many are getting inspired by Big B in 'Tanda Tanda.. cool cool' promo. Head massage are supposed to be like that :) No, I am not kidding here!

The hair that you lose out on massaging is weak hair and that will fall out anyways. I have the experience of getting massaged by 'Dhobi' (washerman in villages) - not just head, but eyes, ears and whole body. This is routine during Ugadi and Sankranti festive times. It is so soothing... after massage, one needs to stand in the early morning sunlight for about an hour and then take the bath. You will really feel the effect!

That too you pay them about Rs 50, they would be more than happy! Sad that we chose the concrete jungle as our habitat.

That was only funny since it didn't happen to me. Only advantage I can see is that it made your life before the massage look pretty darn good.

ROFL!!! Unbelievably hilarious....But nevertheless horrifying ;)

Psst: Kick them in the shins next time **if there ever is a next time** and blame it as a reflex for hair pulling...

Reading this post was hilarious. But what you had to go through to write this hilarious post...is not funny.

sonal - you don't have to worry about that one aspect. I for one will never want my head massaged!

Avada Kedavra - I guess they had only mens shampoo. Wierd place! Luckily I didn't lose a lot of hair.

Mohan - Your experiences sound just like a massage should - soothing and comforting. My eyes stung when I read you paid 50! The things I could've done with that fortune I paid these fools!

Swaram - Don't get it either, I guess they use our heads as punching bags !!

Shruti - There isn't gonna be a next time in Ayur for sure!
Ah, lil P enjoying with your mom still?

Shruti - You are wise. Who saved your hair? :O Sorry didn't get that.

Arkansas Patti - Hahaha..That was funny. Oh yeah, life was massage atleast wasn't painful ..& I was richer by 450!

Choco - Good idea. I plan to kick & slap them next time it happens. It would have to be an accident as I wouldn't volunter for it surely ;)

SG - Yeah twas a nightmare really.

poor you. I hate the oil they use. makes me wanna barf. and Chick shampoo was used on my dear HOnda Activa till bout 2 years ago. of course it couldn't bear the torture and asked me to change the brand. so I can very well relate to your horror of being given this godforsaken shampoo :-|

I'm sorry, I'm sorry but cdnt help laughing at ur plight....chik MENS shampoo was the heights;-D

U knw I very recently got to know the goodness of head massages & have been addicted ever since.
The parlours here in Dubai give a very good massage but I come back home and wash my hair myself;-D

hey...well written...as i had the heard this story in person i sort of knew what to expect ahead but still the grip was well maintained in the post and i read to the last word and laughed as well....
one of my friends just came back from a vacation in Kerala, she specially went their for exploring massages and came back rejuvinated with the experience, according to her.Hope you have a better experience next time if you dare to explore it again :D.

Shruthi - Precisely, that oil is yucky and sticky! I'm curious .. Exactly how did the Activa communicate this to you? By throwing you in a ditch or something ;) j/k.

Reflections - Laugh Nancy laugh! Chik shampoo simply made me more sick.
Good for you (ref. to Dubai exp). Never get a massage in B'lore then. It'll tarnish the pleasant memories you have.

Urmil - Ya you were the first to hear about it. Thank You!!!
I'm depressed now, seems like I'm the only one who has had such a *arrrghh, shudder* experience. So bad that I'm pretty sure I'd never risk trying even.

Shruthi said...

oh we communicate on a regular basis. sustain our relationship ;) hehe.. there were signs you know, the day I would wash the bike invariable there would be a crow/pigeon droppings on my poor bike. bah talk about fate :D

Sound like you offended them in some way to be treated like tat ...
Next time you pay them 500 bucks and tell them that you want to give them a head massage !! .. revenge of the fallen hair !!

lostworld said...

Shruthi - Wow. That's some serious telepathy! Activa sensory perception eh? hee hee..

Neo - :-)))) I simply love that idea of yours. Hahaha..To add to it, I'll make my own brand of oil specially for them. Of course I'm not gonna mention all the RAW materials that would go into brewing such a 'special' oil !!

Shruti said...

whoo thanks for the warning! I would never go for a head massage coz I could end up in jail. U know.. I tend to get very violent on anyone who even taps on my head. Here, I might just murder someone!
And.. ur posts are not substandard.. unless u want to publish them all in a book and sell 'em :P

lostworld said...

Shruti - Oh see, I knew this post would benefit someone! Thank God I managed to tame what could've been an unleashed murderess on the prowl ;)
- And Thanks!!! Books & me? Well, I don't have any such lofty ambitions really.

Ok.. now im skeptical abt going to massage parlors.. specially for my hair. i dont have lustrous locks.. so if i lost them.. then.. ughh.. im left with nothing...;)
